Minnesota’s Impact Evaluation Unit Supports Evidence-Based Budgeting

Minnesota has been identified by several good-government organizations as one of the leaders in the nation on evidence-based policymaking. One important piece of that story is how the state launched an Impact Evaluation Unit within  Minnesota Management and Budget.

The federal government’s one-stop website for performance-related information received a refresh. It includes a preview of the upcoming President’s Management Agenda, but doesn’t yet include cross-agency priority goals, agency priority goals, agency strategic plans, agency performance plans, or agency learning agendas. Those will be posted in coming months. But it’s worth exploring the new interface with its links to blogs and social media.
